Walking Weekends - Autumn 2010

Two new loop walks, starting from the hotel, one 10 mile and one 6 mile will form the basis of our November weekends. The beautiful Herefordshire countryside will again provide a magnificent backdrop to the events and the fine food in the restaurant will be the iceing on the cake.

Bank Holiday Murder Mystery

Following the successful evening in April, our professional actors are coming back in May to create another wonderful evening's entertainment for our guests. Enjoy a candlelit 3 course dinner whilst trying to unravel the dastardly deed.

Espresso Machine Installed

Nicoleta and Richard are delighted to announce that their new Commercial Coffee machine is now up and running. Espresso, Latte, Mocha, Capucino and lots more varieties available from £1.75. From bean to cup in around 45 seconds! A full range of exotic teas are also available, so drop in for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

April Murder Mystery

The January Murder Mystery has sold out already and we have persuaded our actors to come back again on April 17th. The Xmas evening was also a sell out and was great fun, with several guests snapping up the last few remaining January tickets.

Why not extend your stay and enjoy the delights of the Wye Valley. We have walks, sightseeing at Symonds Yat & Hay on Wye, not to mention the many Golf courses, fishing venues and a fantastic health club/spa just 15 minutes away in Fownhope.

Richard's Selection of Malts

Richard Preece, our Bar Manager has put together a fine selection of Malt Whiskies to cheer up the cold winter months. He promises no fewer than 8 Malts at any one time and is keen to hear feedback from hotel guests and bar regulars as to further additions. Richard also has some bin end wines at just £11.95 a bottle and the famous "Wye Valley Beers" on sale.

New Winter Menu

Head Chef Darius and his Sous Chef Deepak have created a superb new winter menu for the Valley Restaurant here at the Pilgrim Hotel. Combining local meat and vegetables with freshly caught fish, they have put together an exciting, warming array of dishes for the winter months.

Lunchtime 2/3 course specials will remain and a 3 course dinner can now be enjoyed for less than £20. Blackboard specials are always available as are some mouth watering vegetarian options. For those with a love for Indian food, Deepak presents some of his favourite dishes from his Indian home and flies in the spices specially. [His chicken tikka is exceptional!]
